Jimsonweed - Alex Hernandez (Guitars and Vocals)

Jimsonweed was formed by the Brothers Hernandez to perform tracks for Big Dorks's Daniel Amos tribute. Following the release of More Negative Fruit, the band split up, each brother going their own way. Alex Hernandez continued on with Project Jimsonweed and subsequently recorded some original material for Elisha Dorfsmith's Sediment 2 project. Soon after that project was over he began to play with three other musicians from his church, Mike Kondourajian (formerly of Recess and Ascension) drummer, Jay Ogden lead guitar and John Sells bass player, collectively they were known as Crosseyed. Crosseyed opened a Chicago tour date for The Lost Dogs in July of 2004, although the material played was cover songs, the band was well received. After the show Crosseyed got together to discuss the band name, seemed the band was split about the name Crosseyed. So they are in the process of re-inventing themselves before they were stuck with that name.

Alex still records solo under the name Jimsonweed, currently he has three tracks ready for Elisha Dorfsmith's Sediment Tribute and is working on originals for Dorfsmith's Sediment 3 project. Jimsonweed is still working on an EP to be released early 2005; the tentative title is Preachers Kid. Jimsonweed is also scheduled to perform in Minnesota with Theo Obrastoff, wes berlin and other close friends for the benefit of Cystic Fibrosis, concerts are being worked on for Chicago and Ohio. The band formerly known as Crosseyed will also perform at the Chicago show if there happens to be one. See more of Jimsonweed and other projects at, http://jimsonweed.cybercruizin.com/

"If it works, then it must be good. If it's good, then it must be true..."

Welcome to the truth custom made
Come in and have some lemonade
Reality will readjust while we evade
The issues that are pressing us
And getting so depressing but
Undressing and unstressing
Makes them go away

We're tired of solid ground
We're wired up for sound
From any fool who'll keep us
Cool with all his lies
Cool with all his lies

Ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba
We believe, we believe
Cuz we felt it burning in our hearts
Ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba
And it's true, yes it's true
If it gets us all thru the night
For the rest of our lives

If there's a master race, we're one
And if by chance they drop the bomb
The heat will never find us
Cuz we've learned to run
No absolutes to spoil our time
So we won't have to change our minds
Just hope that we won't die
While we're still in our prime
